We are looking for two great interns to work a minimum of 10 hours a week during the Summer 2014. This is an unpaid position, but benefits include:

Program Intern
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and running summer writing programs
- Assist with grant writing and fundraising
- Write and edit CYC blog and newsletters
- Help coordinate summer events
- Recruit volunteers
- Assist in publishing student work
Necessary Qualifications:
- Must be a self-starter, comfortable with a great degree of independence
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a role with constant changes
- Interest in working with kids ages 6 to 18
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Editing/proofreading skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Dropbox
- Creative problem solver
Nonprofit Management/Event Planning Intern
Responsibilities:
- Plan for the Fall 2014 fundraising event
- Identify and contact potential sponsors
- Create budget for event
- Plan theme and begin branding/marketing for event
Necessary Qualifications:
- Must be a self-starter, comfortable with a great degree of independence
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a role with constant changes
- Interest in working with kids ages 6 to 18
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Editing/proofreading skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Dropbox
- Creative problem solver
